This website is a virtual campus for thought leaders in nonprofit organizations across Connecticut. Whether you’re a seasoned leader or new to the nonprofit world, here’s where you’ll find the tools, courses, and information you need to transform your communities.
FaithWorks—the Connecticut Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships—is a longtime initiative of the Conference of Churches. We’re expanding our scope through funding from the American Recovery and Investment Act.
Partnership is the catalyst to help neighborhood and faith-based nonprofit organizations to re-envision and transform our urban centers in Connecticut to strong, economically vibrant communities.
FaithWorks aims to give emerging and seasoned leaders across the state access to transformative practices. Through our online courses, annual FaithWorks Institute, or our fall and spring conferences, you can
- Strengthen your ability to serve low- and moderate-income people in your communities
- Obtain access to jobs and job training for clients
- Build leadership skills for yourself
Our mission—to achieve social justice for all people. With our new funding we’re extending our reach to be more visionary, inclusive, and innovative.
I invite you to take a tour of our virtual campus. Just complete the simple registration form to log on. The FaithWorks Community is here to serve you and help you “be the change you want to see in the world.”
Your partner in lifelong learning,
Rev. Dr. Shelley D. Best, President

"FaithWorks, as opposed to other kinds of leadership development training, melds professional growth with personal growth in seamless fashion...I'm learning for my organization and for myself."
